Sara & Drew make me happy. Straight up happy. Drew is the life-of-the-party-make-everyone-laugh type who has an amazing sense of humor! Sara is the biggest sweetheart you could meet and is a petite little thing. She has a fantastic sense of personal style and I think she is just drop dead gorgeous They love each other to pieces. It’s cute as heck. We had a blast running around Inglewood for their engagement session a couple weeks ago.

I am thankful that I connected with these two. They have a lot of love to give to the world and the world is simple a better place with them doing what they do best….making everyone smile!

Meet the fantastic Natalie & Kevin. They are sweet as pie. These two make each other laugh easily and have so much fun together. These two were troopers on their couples session as it was SOOOO chilly outside! When we first started shooting it started to hail, then rain, then finally sun!

The weather didn’t bother us one bit! You see Natalie & Kevin are like eating a yummy perfectly sweet biscotti on a Sunday morning. They are delightfully charming together and they make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside just by being around them. These two are not engaged yet. Natalie wanted and couples session to celebrate their love with photographs and boy did we ever! Right now they are in Europe having a blast!

Nicole & Aly have found true, authentic, uninhibited love. This is magic and what makes it even more magical is that Nicole and Aly are high school sweethearts! It all started in the summer of 1995! Nicole received a call from Aly asking “how is your summer going”. Nicole found it odd as they never even spoke at school. It was obvious Aly was smitten and he eventually asked her out! Of course Nicole said YES because she thought that he was one of the “hottest guys” in school! Can you believe that they are still together almost 16 years later!

I absolutely love these two together. We had such an amazing time during this shoot and of course we had to go back to where it all began….Sir Winston Churchill High School! Thank you guys for being so incredibly amazing. I can’t wait for your wedding! Lots of love – Shawna

Tamara & Erik are the biggest sweethearts you could ever meet! She is a petite little thing. She has a fantastic sense of personal style and I think she is just drop dead gorgeous. I know this will probably embarrass Erik that I say this but I think he looks like Mr. GQ! You would never know it but he is actually very shy being in front of the camera. Regardless, he did great!

Tamara & Erik are high school sweethearts! They have known each other for fifteen years!! It’s often times that you meet a couple that have been together as long as these two and they no longer have that “FIRE” for one another. We’ve all met couples like that. I was so impressed by the absolute love, admiration and passion these two have for one another. They definitely still have the fire! They love each other to pieces. It’s cute as heck.

We had a blast running around downtown Calgary for their engagement session. I feel thankful, every day for the blessing and honour it is to capture love…. and live out my passion. Melissa and JP are total and complete cuties. I honestly felt like I was working with a couple of models on a shoot for the latest Vogue Mag. I am a total sucker for girls in clothing and boots that makes a statement and guys who wear designer sunglasses. Needless to say, Melissa and JP were definitely in my “style sweet spot.” Then to top it off half way through the shoot I had the pleasure to meet Bentley! I instantly fell in love with this furry little guy and was very close to putting him in my pocket and sneaking away! Bentley is only six months old and it was clear he owned that park! They are an adorable family. Their love for one another is so innocent and tender. It was an honour.

Melissa and JP, you two are absolutely lovely people. Thanks for being so stinkin’ adventurous with me. You two rock! Lots of love – Shawna

Melanie & Kenny are strong, beautiful, independent, down to earth, ambitious, thoughtful, gracious and caring AND the best part was they were up for some real fun on their shoot. Let’s just say I wore my long under-roo’s as it was a tad cold! It had been snowing all week and there were still big piles of the white powdery-goodness on the ground.

I love shooting year around, but I think by the end of the shoot all of us had bright pink noses and our fingers were a bit numb from the wind. Oh yes and one of the lights blew over right into the garbage bin but we kept on with determination! I think we all stayed warm by laughing A lot!

These two are simply sweet and love to have fun together. I couldn’t help display a few pictures where Kenny is whispering sweet nothings into Melanie’s ear. It’s like they had a little, special secret that they shared just between the two of them. It was fun to watch and I’m going to go ahead and put my money on them to persevere through anything life gives them. They are down to earth, thoughtful and love to laugh… three qualities I love and respect.
