What happens when a Calgary Flames fan and a Vancouver Canucks fan meet? They fall in love and get married! We couldn’t have asked for better weather considering what it’s been like over the past few months. I met Dina and Kevin at Confederation Park and the light was perfect! We arrived at the park at 7 p.m. and near the end of the shoot we struck what us photographers like to call the SWEET LIGHT! There is something magical that happens to the light after sunset, when the sky becomes a giant sheet of soft directional illumination, when the shadows soften and the colours deepen. This is that magical time between sunset and darkness. I think it is perfectly named!

As you can see by the photographs, we had a great time from playing around to sincerely romantic moments. It isn’t hard to see how in love Dina and Kevin are. It was clear that Kevin loved to tease Dina. These two were so incredibly sweet with each other… they were constantly laughing and whispering… and enjoying each others company. As you can tell by the photographs on the wall, Vicky loves Marilyn Monroe! You will find books in her living room and even wine bottles with photographs of Marilyn on them. For this shoot, Vicky released her inner Marilyn and wow, we shot some amazing photographs! There is one photograph in black & white that I swear looks EXACTLY like Monroe.
