I’ll be honest, my job has a lot of perks. But the best perk of all is the couples I meet who share their lives with me on their wedding days. I’ve said it so many times that it’s like a broken record, I really do have some mind-blowing people as my clients. And another perk? They often end up as friends. We have been looking towards Claire & Dustin’s wedding ever since they told us it was being held at the stunning Emerald Lake Lodge.  This winter wedding took place on a chilly Valentines Day afternoon. The weather was amazing! I must say on the drive up we were a little worried what mother nature had in store for us but we couldn’t have asked for a better day!

The day started at noon where I probably spent way too much time photographing Claire’s awesome shoes and gorgeous dress:)! From there we made our way down (Claire looking so cute wearing her Uugs) to Cilantro On The Lake where all the guests were ready for the ceremony to start. They have a lovely family and you could tell they were all elated to be sharing this big day together! After a beautiful ceremony Claire and Dustin were announced man and wife!! Even on such a chilly February day, I think it warmed everyone’s heart to see them so happy together!

February weddings, although beautiful, can be chilly and this one was no exception. The wedding party were such troopers while we took them on the  frozen lake for their photography session. Thank you guys! There was a really fun and casual vibe to their reception. Everyone had a good time! We especially loved how Claire and Dustin gave their speech, so relaxed and genuine.

We had an amazing time shooting Rhonda’s session right in the comforts of her own home! With some minor rearranging of furniture we had a beautiful setting. Everything went off without a hitch until I slipped off of a chair. Yup that is what happens when photographs get so focused on the shot they forget about their surroundings. But WE GOT THE SHOT and that’s all that matters! I would like to thank my main man, my chiropractor Mike who runs the Edmonton Trail Chiropractic Clinic. I don’t know what I would do without you Mike! I also want to thank you Rhonda! You were are trooper and you made my job easy!
