Hello Friend!

Thanks for stopping by! What is a blog? To me a blog is where I get to share my most recent work, my studio news and in some cases my personal rants and raves. I love to hear what you think so if somethng here makes you smile, makes you cry or just downright makes you wonder...send me a PS. I mean what letter is complete without a PS?

Ashley & Jay met at a high school here in Calgary. She was in Grade 11 and he was in Grade 12.  At first they did NOT hit it off.  Ashley was convinced that Jay was arrogant and shallow until her friends convinced her to give him a chance.  They became great friends and eventually started dating.  Then Jay graduated and started working as an electrician and then working on his hockey career.  Believe it or not they ended their relationship thinking that they couldn’t survive with Ashley being home attending high school and Jay working on his own career.  Two years passed and they ran into each other again while he was wiring Ashley’s neighbors newly built garage! To nobody’s surprise they started seeing each other and it wasn’t long before Jay was offered an amazing hockey opportunity in Alaska.  The rest is history! They have been together almost 5 years and endured the hardships of long distance relationship due to Jay playing hockey in various states in the U.S.  Ashley stayed home and worked as a registered nurse. Now Mr & Mrs Beagle are setting out to the United States to continue their careers and live happily ever after! Thank you Ashley & Jay! It was a beautiful wedding. It was wonderful getting to know you and your lovely family. I wish you the best of luck. Lots of love. Shawna

Wow, just like usual in this part of our world, summer is already winding down.  I had a really good summer this year. I shot a lot of weddings, made a lot friends, and got to know some really amazing people. We still have several more weddings to shoot before the end of the year so it’s not over for me  yet. I also have several new engagement shoots and weddings that will be posted on the blog very soon so there are still lots of love stories to be told through our lens. I hope everyone had a fantastic summer and hang on Calgary as I can feel that fall is coming very soon!
